About Our Community

In 2011, Eyes On Me founder, Bobby “Tre9” Herring received a phone call from a pastor in a local community who had just suffered the loss of two students to suicide, followed by 20 students rushed from their school to the hospital for consuming a drug substance. The pastor told Tre9 they needed help. This small town,  just west of Houston, known as Brookshire, Texas was lacking hope.  Tre9 and his crew of Hip Hop artists collaborated with local clergy to immediately organize a school assembly, an after-school mentoring program, a community prayer gathering and a town hall.  From that point on, Eyes On Me set up permanent residency there to bring hope. Brookshire, has since become a flagship community transformation model for Eyes On Me. ​

About Our Community Leader

Our director, CaSandra Runnels is a life-long resident of Brookshire and has been serving with Eyes On Me for 3 1/2 years, dedicated to advancing the mission of community transformation through faith-driven leadership and community impact. With a heart for discipleship, mentorship and service, I am committed to living out my faith while empowering others to do the same.

Community Programs

Hangar Fitness

​Our Brookshire Hangar Fitness program empowers youth to prioritize their well-being, improve their physical fitness, and enhance their overall quality of life. 

When:
Mondays, 7am - 8:30am
Tuesdays, 6pm - 7pm
Wednesdays, 7am - 8:30am
Fridays, 7am - 8:30am

HUSL (Hangar Unity Sports League) 

​Hangar Unity Sports League is a semi-annual 8-week soccer program for kids of all ages. 

When:
Mondays, 5:30pm to 7pm, and Saturdays, 8am - 12pm

WINGS (Women in God's Service)

The Women in God's Service (WINGS) program at Eyes on Me Inc. is dedicated to empowering women through faith, fellowship, and service. 

When: Mondays, 6pm - 8pm

Hangar Trade Program

​Our Hangar Trade Program offers invaluable skills training in woodworking, electrical work, and plumbing, designed to open pathways to rewarding careers.

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30pm - 4pm; and 4:30pm - 6pm

Ignite (Youth Girls Program)

​Our Ignite program provides mentoring to help young women realize their true value and grow into strong, Godly leaders. 

When: Wednesdays, 6pm - 8pm

Star Players (Youth Boys Program)

Our Star Players program provides mentoring that helps young men learn life skills that will help them grow into the men that God created them to be.

When: Tuesdays, 6pm - 8pm

Food Distribution

Eyes on Me hosts monthly food distribution at the Hangar Brookshire to provide essential support to at-risk youth and their families.

When: 4th Friday of every month, 10am

Refresh

Refresh gatherings are simple churches where we fellowship, pray, share a meal, set goals and grow in the word of God together. This is where genuine relationships are cultivated and the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry flourish. 

When: Thursdays, 1pm and 6pm
