Eyes on Me began serving the streets of Houston in 2008 with a weekly outreach event known as "Hip Hop Hope." This event has been structured as a Christ-centered block party where basic physiological needs are met, but also where the gospel Is shared and people are invited to a new way of living by faith. Today, Hip Hop Hope remains a valuable entrance strategy event to begin building relationships with residents.
However, Eyes on Me has developed numerous discipleship and mentorship programs that teach people what it means to live out their faith and also to develop their God-given talents and skills through a variety of programs. Areas served by Eyes on Me are consistently names as some of the most dangerous, poverty-stricken, under-developed, and highest single-parent neighborhoods in the country.
Eyes on Me also assists in meeting basic needs of people from these areas by providing food, clothing, hygiene products, and other basic needs as well as helping people locate jobs and permanent shelter. We hope and pray that relieving these physical burdens from people will allow them to focus less on day-to-day survival and more on their spiritual growth.

About the Founder
Bobby "Tre9" HerringEyes On Me, Inc. came into existence in 2008 when Bobby “Tre9” Herring was called into deeper service by God. Having been a Christian rap artist for the previous 20+ years, Bobby realized that performing a concert would only allow for evangelism, with very little opportunity to move beyond sharing the gospel and into the realm of
discipleship. Bobby understood that the real impact in a person’s life came after they professed faith in Jesus Christ, got baptized, and were ready to be discipled. With this conviction, Bobby hung up the microphone and began ministering to people in communities around Houston, Texas, using his musical abilities to draw people together. It became abundantly clear that many people were dying on the streets without knowing the love of Jesus. Bobby believed that a reproducible discipleship model was needed to accelerate the spreading of the gospel and, as a result, the first mission statement was born: Eyes On Me, Inc. aims to authentically follow Jesus Christ in order to create community transformation by building bridges and entrusting people to impact their community, resulting in a reproducible discipleship movement. |
CONNECTWe CONNECT with individuals and families living in areas that are typically low income, high crime, and under-served. We do this with outreach events such as our weekly Hip Hop Hope, In-school assemblies, and In-school mentoring. This helps to “break the ice” and gives us an opportunity to introduce ourselves to the community.

CULTIVATEWe CULTIVATE these newfound relationships by keeping a consistent presence in these neighborhoods. To do this, we offer a variety of programs and opportunities for residents through our mission centers that include screen-printing, a music production studio, even a fitness center located in our multi-purpose facility in Brookshire, TX.

CHALLENGECHALLENGE is where we identify individuals who show leadership qualities, are growing in their faith, and are hungry for mentorship. Our LORD training and DTS training are avenues we use to help these men and women identify their calling, develop their leadership skills, and strengthen their faith.
|
COVENANTAs these individuals grow we begin to build a COVENANT with them. This leads to a higher lever of accountability and encourages them to remain steadfast in their devotion to becoming the leaders change in their community. We achieve this through discovery groups, life change groups, and our “Out Tha Box” church in-home gatherings.
