About Us
Eyes On Me is on a mission to spread the gospel of Jesus to under-served and at-risk youth. Using biblical principles and standards, our vision is to disciple them for lifelong success and stability in the world. We are gathering young people every week in Brookshire and Spring Branch for our Hip Hop Hope outreach services, and using Christian hip hop to connect them to Jesus. At Royal High School, our HD mentoring program gives students an opportunity for an outlet to share their life stories & struggles with our mentors and for us to pour into their lives as well. Our prison ministry work is raising up volunteers that connect well with the troubled youth that we serve. With an extra emphasis on discipling the darkest neighborhoods in Houston, we've began strategically planting and reproducing churches, raising up leaders and sending them out to make disciples of the next generation.
Organization History
Eyes On Me was founded in 2008 by Bobby R. Herring. As a national rap artist with four solo albums, he is known as Tre9. Since 1997, when he began his mission to entertain youth with inspirational messages, Tre9 launched an array of effective programs, ministries, and events that would eventually lead to the formation of Eyes On Me, Inc.
He has performed for thousands of youth throughout the work and is more passionate than ever about revolutionizing their culture. His drive to combat the negative messages and desensitization of youth by media and entertainment has been evident over the past decade. He founded Much Luvv Records in 1998, releasing over twelve albums to date, to give youth a higher standard of music with a positive message. In 2002, he launched an annual awards show, All Eyes On Me Achievement Awards, honoring individuals who committed their lives to positively influencing youth culture though music. He co-founded the All Eyes On Me Youth Conference in 2007, allowing youth the experience of a top notch hip hop and rock concert, along with positive along with positive teaching and fellowship. He was ordained as a minister in 2008 by Copperfield Church. He is also co-owner of DaSouth.com, the largest Christian hip hop website in the world today. Finally, he began an outreach event called Hip Hop Hope Tuesday in the 5th Ward which serves at risk youth with an hour and a half of live entertainment, games, prizes, a live DJ, and a free meal afterwards. Plans to launch the first Hip Hope Youth Center are in the beginning stages and will eventually be constructed in several under-served communities.

The most creative long-term solutions to problems of the poor are coming from grassroots nonprofit organizations and church based efforts – People who see themselves as the agents of Jesus here on earth in their own neighborhoods and communities.
